What Nairank Global does in Uganda
Uganda refines and exports gold from its own mines and from the region, and Kampala is a common place to meet a seller. Our Ugandan work covers:
- Company and supplier due diligence with URSB, the tax authority and the licensing authority. See supplier due diligence in Uganda.
- Background checks on companies, suppliers and the parties who present a deal. See background checks.
- Gold testing on site in Kampala and Entebbe, and witnessed melting before export. See gold testing in Kampala and Entebbe.
- Inspection of goods and stock before payment or shipment. See mine, warehouse and stockpile inspection.
- Refinery and origin checks for buyers and suppliers of refineries. See gold refineries in Uganda.

Our mineral specialisation in Uganda
Uganda’s refining capacity has grown, with a third gold refinery opened in 2025 and a local refinery contracted in 2026 to refine gold for the central bank, as reported by Pulse Uganda. More refining means more gold changing hands in Kampala and Entebbe, and more need to confirm where each lot came from. See gold testing in Uganda.
